Automation Juice ("the Service") is operated for the purpose of teaching software quality assurance and test automation. This page describes what personal data we collect, why, how long we keep it, and your rights.
What we collect
- Account data: your email address, name, optional phone number, role (student / instructor / admin), and timezone.
- Learning data: which lessons you completed, scores, quiz answers, code submissions, badges, XP, and streak.
- Operational logs: IP address and user agent on sign-in events (for abuse prevention; retained 90 days).
- Cookies: a session cookie (required for login) and an optional analytics cookie (only when you consent).
Legal basis (EU / UK)
- Performance of contract: to deliver the course you signed up for.
- Legitimate interest: to keep the Service secure and improve content quality.
- Consent: for optional analytics; you may withdraw at any time.
How long we keep it
- Account + learning data: while your account is active. Deleted on request.
- Sign-in logs: 90 days.
- Backups: encrypted, retained 30 days.
Who we share data with
- Email provider (Resend or your configured SMTP): your email and message body for transactional emails (OTP, approvals, invitations).
- Hosting: your data is stored in our self-hosted Supabase instance. Sub-processors depend on where the operator deploys it; the operator must disclose them.
- We do not sell your data.
Your rights
- Access: request a copy of your data
- Rectification: correct inaccurate data
- Erasure: delete your account and associated data
- Portability: receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Object / restrict: to specific kinds of processing
To exercise any of these, email the operator listed in the platform footer, or use the self-service controls in your profile.
International transfers
If your data crosses borders (e.g. you are in the EU but the operator hosts in the US), it is protected by Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable. Operators should publish their data-residency choice.
