Frequently asked questions

Honest answers. If something is missing, email [email protected] or message us on WhatsApp and we'll add it.

  1. 1. Is Automation Juice really free?

Yes. The Pro program is free to start. There is no credit card and no time-limited trial. We may add paid cohort-based instructor support later, but the self-paced curriculum stays free.

  2. 2. Do I need to know how to code already?

No. Phase 1 starts at the testing mindset and Phase 17 (about three months in) is where Python begins, from variables onward. The program is built for career switchers and manual testers with zero coding background.

  3. 3. How long does it take?

About 28 to 32 weeks at 15 to 30 minutes a day, including the hands-on assignments. Some learners finish in 4 months, some in 8. The pace is yours; the program shows you the next lesson each day.

  4. 4. What do I get at the end?

A public GitHub repository with a working pytest + Selenium framework running on GitHub Actions, plus 100 hand-written test cases, 25 bug reports, and an API test suite. That portfolio is what hiring panels actually want to see, much more than a certificate.

  5. 5. Do I get a certificate?

Yes. You earn a phase badge after every block (Manual Testing Foundations, Web Fundamentals, API Testing, Python, Selenium, Framework + CI) and a course graduate badge after the Capstone. You can share each from your profile.

  6. 6. Who teaches the course?

Upcode Software Labs, a software engineering and training studio based in India. We have been building production software and training QA / SDET engineers since 2020. See the About page for details.

  7. 7. Why do I need approval to enroll?

We review each request so we can keep the cohort engagement high. Reviews happen within 1 to 2 business days and you receive an email when your access is enabled. While you wait, install Python 3.12 and Chrome, and create a GitHub account if you do not already have one.

  8. 8. Is there an AI tutor and how is it limited?

Yes. Every lesson has an AI tutor button. Ask anything in plain language and it answers in the context of the lesson. There is a configurable daily cap (default 3 AI requests per learner per day) so cost stays predictable. The cap does not stop you from reading lessons or taking quizzes; it only limits AI-graded calls.
